FAQ

what is a Brazilian Butt lift (bbl) and how is it different from butt implants?

BBL is an abbreviation for Brazilian Butt Lift and refers to nonsurgical shaping of the buttocks with a general reference to the posterior behinds of the South American women which tend to be more “volumptious” genetically compared to women in other areas of the world (we didn’t make up the term!). Butt implants are always an option to give a more pronounced “booty”, but surgery is expensive, runs the risk of anesthesia and other complications, has a long recovery period (weeks or more), and doesn’t always end up feeling or looking natural.

What is Sculptra?

Sculptra is injectable PPLA, or polylactic acid, which is an injectable filler that induces collagen formation. It can be injected into the face, buttock area, and other areas of the body to induce collagen formation . The results are phenonemonal and are one of Dr. Sherry’s most WOW procedures in her “Box of Magic Tools”!

How Much Downtime Is there?

There is basically no downtime and no risk with this procedure. Dr. Sherry will ask you to massage the area for 5 minutes 5 times per day for 5 days as recommended by the manufacture of Sculptra, but other than that, all regular activities can be resumed immediately, and exercise can be resumed within a couple of days.

How Many Vials Do I Need?

This completely depends on the results that you wish to achieve but in most cases, for the BBL, 6 - 10 vial will be needed for optimal results.

How Much Does it Cost?

The cost varies greatly depending on the provider. At Anew you, Dr. Sherry wishes to provide you the most product for the best price possible . Please keep in mind that all injections are personally performed by Dr. Sherry Wehner, MD, who is a national trainer for all injectables and other non-surgical procedures.

How Long Does it Last?

Sculptra has been FDA cleared to last at least 3 years, but in many cases it lasts 5 years or more.
